The Hiram A. McAdams Family  
Hiram Augustus McAdams was born to John McAdams, Jr. and Hester White in Walker County, Texas, on September 8, 1845.  He died in Bedias, Grimes County, Texas, on December 28, 1935, at the age of 90. He served in the War Between the States (American Civil War) as a Private in Company H of the 20th Texas (Elmore's) Infantry. He is buried in the Bedias Baptist Cemetery, Bedias, Grimes County, Texas. This picture was taken at a family gathering, Christmas 1927, in Bedias, Texas. Mary, Era, Clara, Hiram, Ruth and Alice are on the back row. Standing in front are Vernon, Frank, Edgar, Horace and Joe. (left to right) Carl is not pictured.
Hiram was married to Jennie Robbins on February 18, 1874. Jennie was born on October 13, 1853, and she died on October 24, 1886. Hiram and Jennie had six children: After Jennie died, Hiram married Alice Rebecca Williamson on January 22, 1892. Alice was born on March 9, 1868, in Crenshaw, Alabama, and she died on December 18, 1918 during the great flu epidemic. This marriage also produced six children:
