Daniel Cole was born about 1761, in Virginia or possibly North
Carolina. He married Mary Dubose
about 1788 in South Carolina. He died about 1828 in Pike County,
Alabama. Daniel and Mary had eight children:

settled on the Santee River where he married Marie Dubose the
